When is my ticket valid?
Your ticket is valid during the one-hour timeslot you selected. During this timeslot, you can pick up a headset at the entrance of the exhibition on presentation of your ticket. You are now set to begin your tour of David Bowie is. Please consider the time you’ll likely to need to hang up your coat.
Do I have to leave the exhibition when the timeslot on my ticket expires?
No, the timeslot registered on your ticket indicates the period in which you can begin your visit. It will take you approximately 1.5 hours to see the exhibition, but you can stay until the museum closes. At the end of your visit, you can hand in your headset and, if you like, go for a drink in the Bowie Café.
What will happen if I’m late?
If you arrive at the museum outside the timeslot registered on your ticket, we will do our best to provide you with a headset on the same day anyway. In such cases, however, we unfortunately cannot guarantee access. In any case, allow for a waiting period when all headsets are in use. You cannot use your ticket to gain admission to the exhibition on another day, or rebook. Tickets for David Bowie is cannot be exchanged or refunded.
Why do I have to pay a surcharge?
Due to its size, extraordinary multimedia exhibits and complex organization David Bowie is is unlike the other exhibitions in the Groninger Museum and its production was costly. We are therefore charging an extra € 10 above the normal admission price.
I have an Annual Museum Pass, can I visit David Bowie is for free?
Annual Museum Pass holders have to pay the extra € 10, just like other visitors. However, you don’t have to wait in line: if you have a ticket and an Annual Museum Pass, you can go straight to ticket inspections at the foot of the staircase and have your Annual Museum Pass scanned.
Are there any tickets for sale at the museum?
Yes, there are a number of tickets available at the ticket counter every day. However, if you want to be assured of a ticket, we advise you to purchase a ticket online – to avoid a long wait or disappointment due to tickets being sold out. The ticket counter does not sell tickets for other days.
Is my regular Groninger Museum entrance ticket valid for admission to David Bowie is?
No. You need to purchase a special exhibition ticket for David Bowie is; regular entrance tickets or Groningen Museum entrance tickets purchased online are not valid for the exhibition David Bowie is, though they are valid for admission to the other exhibitions on show in the Museum from 11 December 2015 to 10 April 2016.
I have a discount coupon for the Groninger Museum. Can I use it to purchase tickets for the exhibition David Bowie is?
No. Only special exhibition tickets are valid for admission to David Bowie is. These special tickets are not available with any discount offers.
You can, however, use your discount coupon to visit the museum without seeing David Bowie is.
David Bowie Late Night
There is just one timeslot to select for the Bowie Late Nights. During these exclusive Friday night specials, you can enter the exhibition any time between 6.15 p.m. and 10 p.m. The event on the night starts at 6.30 p.m.. During the Bowie Late Nights, you can only visit the David Bowie is exhibition; other exhibitions are closed to visitors. Special David Bowie Late Night tickets have a set price of €35. Museum Cards and other discounts are not applicable.
