On show in the Mendini vide, and on the Mendini I and Coop Himmelb(l)au landings, are old and new pieces from the Groninger Museum collection. Selections from the museum collection are on show throughout the year. The works on exhibit and the layout are changed regularly. Some works of art are on show regularly, others only from time to time. No distinction is made between traditional and modern art, although in practice more modern art is shown. Equally, no distinction is made between painting, design, fashion, and photography. When planning the layout, the aim is to emphasize the visual qualities of the individual works, while simultaneously presenting bold or surprising combinations in a balanced spatial composition.
