Once a month, except for July and August, the Groninger Museum holds a Student Walk-In. At these special events, students can visit the exhibitions accompanied by peer assistants, meet each other and share their thoughts. It’s free with museum admission, and there’s no need to book.

Who and when?

The programme is suitable for both Dutch and English speakers. Student Walk-Ins take place on the third Thursday of every month from 3pm to 5pm, with the first scheduled for 20 June. After a hiatus in July and August, we’ll be back in the autumn, with Walk-Ins on 19 September, 17 October, 21 November and 19 December.

Free with admission

Taking part in Student Walk-Ins is free with a valid Groninger Museum admission ticket. Students on MBO, HBO and university courses in Groningen get in free with student ID. Free entry is made possible by the Akkoord van Groningen (the city of Groningen, the University of Groningen, Hanze University of Applied Sciences, and the University Medical Center Groningen), the province of Groningen, and the Alfa-college and Noorderpoort vocational education centres.

For additional dates and information, see groningermuseum.nl/en/students.
