David Bowie is

More than 300 objects from the David Bowie Archive from the past 50 years – from handwritten lyrics to costumes and photography – constituted the first international overview of the exceptional career of one the most pioneering and influential artists of modern times: David Bowie. The items showed how his work was influenced by as well as has influenced modern art, design, theatre, and culture. The exhibition was first on display in 2013 in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and subsequently travelled around the world.
