The Groninger Museum is one of the most remarkable museums in the Netherlands. The eccentric building has, as well as the Martini Tower, become an important icon of the city of Groningen. The museum’s very diverse collection varies from Groningen antiquities to modern art, fashion, and design of international standing. Partly because of its at times spectacular exhibitions, the Groninger Museum is one of the museums with the highest number of visitors outside the Randstad. Since the building opened in 1994, the Groninger Museum welcomed more than five million visitors. To be able to carry on this success, we appeal to people who feel sympathetic towards the Groninger Museum.
