Great news: The Rolling Stones - Unzipped will return to the Groninger Museum in July 2023. Unzipped takes you on a trip through the incredible highlights of the rock ’n’ roll band’s career, ending with a spectacular audiovisual experience. The show boasts more than 400 original objects from the Stones’ own collection, including instruments, stage designs and album covers as well as iconic costumes, personal diaries and rare audio fragments and video footage.
A highlight is a reconstruction of the band’s old studio and modest flat in London’s Edith Grove, accurate down to the cigarette butts. The drum kit owned by band member Charlie Watts, who died in 2021, will also be on view in the middle of one of the galleries. Unzipped was previously shown in 2020, but then had to close after four weeks due to corona measures, leaving many fans disappointed. The museum is pleased that you now have another chance to see the show.
Tickets go on sale in March. Register at www.rollingstonesgroningen.nl to be notified when the exhibition dates are announced.
